I just saw this on UncleMush's blog and was entranced! I'm so glad he posted it, as I've forgotten to come by and see what you have. You should post a pic or three on the blogs now and then to get us non-photogs to pay attention!

So many beautiful shots in your gallery. I really enjoyed looking through them this a.m.

Thank you Nita! I am so grateful to have been able to see one for the first time let alone get a picture at all. I was a little frustrated with my day of birdwatching and the sun was behind the trees and going down so I put my camera in the house and got in the pool on a raft. That is where I was when I saw the cobalt blue bird that I had only read about and had only seen pictures of. I knew right away what it was which led to me trying to get off of the raft and across the pool. My husband was coming out of the door and I was mouthing and hand gesturing to SHHH and get my camera quick!!

Thank you NDaisy! This was so exciting to me because in all of my entire 53 years of life and living in Florida this was my first sighting of an Eastern Bluebird and it was quite a scramble to get my camera! I really hope to see it again when the sun is out and I am prepared!!

This is a neat double delight capture icmoore. I love how sooo many of my favorite birds visit your birdbath. Thanks for sharing, it's nice to see that papa cardinal and papa bluebird are sharing together!

About icmoore

icmoore

My name is Cathy and I first joined WU in 2005 for the great weather info and Dr. Master's blog and then later discovered the wonderful photography community here. I so enjoy seeing everyone's pictures and sharing some of mine. My husband of 41 years and I sold the house we had lived in for 25 years and raised our 2 sons in and downsized to a cottage on a barrier island on the west coast of FL. It's about a block away from the Gulf and we are living our dream now and praying that the big wind don't blow :)
