Thanks for your comment abd feed back. Its the first time I went to this area and the first time I seen rocks that color.
Gary
I worked in an Iron Ore mine for 33 years. These rocks are not iron ore. I brought home a beach rock. Maybe I can find someone who can fill me in on what type of rock it is.
Gary
I come back to your pix often these days!
This is yet another great picture. Thank you!
Thank you for your kind comments and feed back. Now if I could only start getting the Newfoundland/Labrador Dept. of Tourism to start paying me :-).
Gary
Once again thank you for your commesnt and feed back.
From www.heritage.nf.ca/aboriginal/beothuk
"Beothuk traditionally painted their faces and bodies with a mixture of red ochre and grease. When genuine ochre was not at hand, they used reddish soil with a high iron content that stains well. The ochre colour was a mark of tribal identity and the first coat, given to infants, was regarded as a sign of initiation. It also had a religious connotation."
Gary
Thank you for your congratulations, your comment and feedback.

Thank you for your congratulations, comments and feed back. Today my knees are remianing my just how rugged that coastline is to walk.
Gary
Ladies, thank you all for your kind words, comments, feed back, and congrats.
CameraDiva there is lime stone in the area. The amazing thing is you go a couple of miles in either direction and your back to the granite cliffs.
