just a basic lily pad. Use to have those in East Texas. They don't blossom into pretty flowers.

Found out its a cow lily, or spatterdock. Slightly different from the regular lily pads that are abundant around here.

About swampteach
swampteach Hi, I'm Gayle. I'm a retired teacher and am very much enjoying all of God's blessings - especially our grandchildren and traveling. My husband and I love to travel in our RV, and though I'm definitely an amateur, I enjoy taking pictures of the amazing beauty to be found everywhere we go. I first fell in love with this site when I used the wunderful radars as a weather teaching tool in my classroom. Thanks Wunderground! Since I retired I discovered how much I enjoy seeing the world through the pictures here. I am so inspired by the beauty captured by you talented people. There's much to learn from all of you. Thanks everyone!
