Issued: 2:29 PM AKST Nov. 18, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 6 am akst Tuesday...

* what... areas of freezing rain expected. Snow expected. Ice
accumulations of a trace of glaze expected. Total snow
accumulations of 2 to 4 inches.

* Where... freezing rain is possible in all areas of the middle
Tanana Valley. The heaviest snow will be north of Fairbanks.
Fairbanks can expect less than 2 inches of snow.

* When... 3 PM today to 6 am Tuesday. Areas of freezing rain will
occur now through Monday afternoon. Snow will develop Monday and
continue into early Tuesday. The heaviest snow will be late
Monday afternoon through Monday night.

* Additional details... freezing rain will occur in some areas, but
not everywhere. In the areas that do get freezing rain, it will
be light and only form a light glaze. Roads will become very
slippery.
