Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 4:03 AM CST Feb. 19, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 8 am CST this morning...

The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a dense fog
advisory, which is in effect until 8 am CST this morning.

* Timing and areas affected... all of southern middle Tennessee and
northern Alabama until 8 am CST.

* Visibility... 1/4 mile or less.

* Impacts... sudden drops in visibility will make driving
hazardous.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

Special Statement
Issued: 12:41 AM CST Feb. 19, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Patchy dense fog possible overnight...

As the clouds clear out overnight and winds remain light, patchy
dense fog will be possible across northern Alabama and southern
middle Tennessee. Widespread fog with visibilities of 1 mile or less
is likely, with a few locations dropping below 1/4 of a mile. The
highest likelihood of this will be near rivers and in valley
locations. Use caution when driving and leave room between you and
the vehicle in front of you.
