The Flood Warning continues for
the Saline River near Rye.
* From Monday evening until further notice... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 8:15 PM Friday the stage was 23.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Monday evening and continue to
rise to near 27.5 feet by Wednesday evening.
* Impacts at 26.0 feet... County roads in eastern Bradley County flooded.
Move equipment and other property out of low lying areas of the
floodplain.
* Impacts at 28.0 feet... County roads in southwestern Drew and eastern
Bradley counties may be flooded. Some homes and Cabins may be
isolated by high water.

* until 415 am CST Saturday

* at 403 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated up to eight plus inches of
rain have fallen and flooding is occurring in numerous locations
across the warning area! While rainfall has ended at this time,
additional heavy rainfall is likely Saturday, with the flood
threat increasing once again.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

... Flood Watch remains in effect through Saturday evening...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of central Arkansas, eastern Arkansas, north central
Arkansas, southeast Arkansas, southwest Arkansas, and western
Arkansas, including the following areas, in central Arkansas,
Faulkner, Garland, Grant, Lonoke, Perry, prairie, Pulaski,
Saline, and white. In eastern Arkansas, Jackson, Monroe, and
Woodruff. In north central Arkansas, Cleburne and
Independence. In southeast Arkansas, Arkansas, Bradley,
Cleveland, Desha, Drew, Jefferson, and Lincoln. In southwest
Arkansas, Calhoun, Clark, Dallas, Hot Spring, Ouachita, and
Pike. In western Arkansas, Montgomery and Polk.

* Through Saturday evening

* heavy rain fell across much of southern... central and eastern
Arkansas the last several days... with 4 to locally more than 8
inches observed. Additional heavy rainfall will be possible on
Saturday into Saturday night where an additional 1 to 3 inches
of rain are expected. Locally higher amounts will be possible.

* Given the recent heavy rainfall... the ground has become
saturated. As a result... the runoff potential has
increased... resulting in a high threat for flash and river
flooding through Saturday night. There have already been
numerous high water reports... including flooding of roads and
Road closures. Any more heavy rainfall may create additional
dangerous flooding situations.


.Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for for high water
problems based on the current forecast of heavy rain.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
