Coastal Flood Warning
Issued: 6:07 AM EDT Sep. 25, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Coastal Flood Warning in effect until noon EDT Wednesday...

The National Weather Service in Baltimore MD/Washington has
issued a coastal Flood Warning, which is in effect until noon EDT
Wednesday. The coastal flood advisory is no longer in effect. The
coastal Flood Watch is no longer in effect.

* Locations... shoreline in the District of Columbia.

* Tidal departure... 2 to 2.5 feet above normal.

* Timing... around the time of high tide. High tide at Washington
DC is at 8:59 am and 9:16 PM today and 9:33 am Wednesday.

* Impacts... the unprotected area on the southwest Waterfront at
the DC seafood Market is expected to flood. Water is expected to
approach parts of the Hains Point loop Road, but it will likely
be closed. Shoreline inundation up to one foot above ground is
possible elsewhere.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal Flood Warning means that flooding is occurring or
imminent. Coastal residents in the warned area should be alert
for rising water, and take appropriate action to protect life and
property.
