Watches & Warnings

Flash Flood Watch
Issued: 5:16 PM GMT Jul. 22, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Flash Flood Watch in effect through Tuesday afternoon...

The National Weather Service in tiyan has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for Guam, Rota, Tinian and Saipan.

* Through Tuesday afternoon

* a monsoon pattern will bring periods of heavy showers to the
marianas through Tuesday. Rainfall of 2 to 4 inches is possible
with locally higher amounts. The ground is wet in some locations
and additional rainfall will enhance the flash flood threat.

* Rainfall of this magnitude would produce flash flooding...
especially in flood-prone... low lying and urban areas and near
rivers and streams.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flash flood
warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop. Flash flooding is
a dangerous situation. Do not drive your car where water covers
the Road. Turn around... dont drown!
