... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 6 PM this evening to
noon MST Monday...

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for moderate to heavy snow, which is in effect
from 6 PM this evening to noon MST Monday.

* Impacts... moderate to heavy snowfall with blowing and drifting
snow will accumulate on roadways and may reduce visibility,
making travel difficult. Mountain passes may become extremely
difficult to travel.

* Timing... 6 PM MST today through 6 PM MST Monday.

* Snow accumulations... 3-6 inches below 5500 feet and 6 to 12
inches above 5500 feet particularly for eastern Cassia County.

* Confidence... low to moderate below 5500 feet due to warm
temperatures. Only moderate above that elevation due to
uncertainty on location of heavier mountain snow.

* Locations... Oakley... Malad... Rockland... Holbrook... sweetzer
Summit... Conner Summit and City of Rocks.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of moderate
to heavy snow along with blowing snow will cause travel
difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited
visibilities, and use caution while driving.
