Issued: 3:11 AM EDT Apr. 26, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Flood Watch remains in effect through this afternoon...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of south central Maine, west central Maine, and
western Maine, including the following areas, in south central
Maine, Kennebec and southern Somerset. In west central Maine,
Central Somerset. In western Maine, northern Franklin,
northern Oxford, southern Franklin, and southern Oxford.

* Through this afternoon

* the combination of melting snow and rain may produce minor
flooding on tributaries of the larger rivers flowing east out of
the mountains.

* Flooding, if it were to occur, will be minor, only affecting
the most vulnerable areas near the rivers.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
