Heat Advisory
Issued: 4:29 PM PDT Jul. 22, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Heat advisory remains in effect from 2 PM Monday to 11 PM PDT
Tuesday...

* maximum temperatures... daytime high temperatures of 95 to 99
degrees expected on Monday and Tuesday.

* Minimum temperatures... overnight lows of 56 to 65 degrees.
Possibly as warm as the upper 60s in the urban areas.

* Timing... temperatures will be slow to cool Monday night.
Expect temperatures in the mid 70s around midnight, then
slowly cooling into the 60s around sunrise in most locations.

* Impacts... hot temperatures and limited relief overnight will
increase chances for heat related illness, especially for
sensitive groups and people without access to air conditioning.
Heat stress is also possible for livestock and outdoor pets.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. Hot temperatures will create a situation in which heat
related illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in
an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sunshine, and check up
on relatives and neighbors. Never leave children or pets inside of
a parked vehicle.

Many heat related accidents occur while people are swimming or
wading in rivers, lakes, and oceans. Wear your life jacket if you
seek relief from the heat in water.
