The Flood Warning continues for
the San Bernard River near Boling
* until late Tuesday night... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0746 PM Friday the stage was 23.6 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 24.3 feet by tomorrow early
afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage Tuesday early afternoon.
* At 25.0 feet... moderate lowland flooding continues with significant backwater
flooding up Peach Creek and minor backwater flooding up west Bernard creek in
Wharton County. Backwater flooding up Snake Creek threatens low lying areas in
the tierra grande subdivision.

the San Bernard River near East Bernard
* until Saturday evening... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0700 PM Friday the stage was 17.1 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by tomorrow
morning.
* At 17.0 feet... minor lowland flooding begins in the vicinity of the gage with
minor roads along the river inundated. Backwater flooding up Britt branch and
bratcher Slough begins.

... Gale watch remains in effect from late Saturday night through
Sunday evening...

* winds... increasing Saturday night into Sunday... west to
northwest 25 to 35 knots with gusts up to 45 knots.

* Seas... increasing late Saturday night into Sunday... 5 to 7 feet
nearshore and 9 to 12 feet offshore with occasional heights up
to 15 feet offshore.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A gale watch is issued when the risk of gale force winds of 34 to
47 knots has significantly increased... but the specific timing
and/or location is still uncertain. It is intended to provide
additional lead time for mariners who may wish to consider
altering their plans.
