... Flash Flood Watch in effect from Tuesday evening through early
Thursday morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of southwest Arkansas, southeast Oklahoma, and
northeast Texas, including the following areas, in southwest
Arkansas, Hempstead, Howard, Lafayette, Little River, Miller,
Nevada, and Sevier. In southeast Oklahoma, McCurtain. In
northeast Texas, Bowie, Camp, Cass, Cherokee, Franklin, Gregg,
Harrison, Marion, Morris, Red River, Rusk, Smith, Titus,
Upshur, and wood.

* From Tuesday evening through late Wednesday night

* periods of excessive heavy rainfall associated with a very slow
moving frontal boundary may result in areas of flash flooding as
training of showers and thunderstorms will likely occur over the
watch area where 3-6 inches of rainfall are expected.

* Flash flooding of roads, low lying, and poor drainage areas will
be possible. If you encounter flash flooding while driving your
vehicle, remember to turn around, don't drown.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.

Lake Wind Advisory
Issued: 6:02 PM CST Feb. 19, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 6 am CST Tuesday...

* event... a tight pressure gradient between surface low pressure
system over the plains and surface high pressure over the
southeast states will produce southerly winds of 15-25 mph
with higher gusts to 30-35 mph.

* Timing... through 6 am CST Tuesday.

* Impact... rough chop on area lakes will create hazardous
boating conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be more prone to take on water
and capsizing.
