The Flood Warning continues for
the Rapidan river near Culpeper.
* Until Sunday morning.
* At 10 am Friday the stage was 14.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Recent activity... the maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at
10 am Friday was 14.1 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 20.0 feet by
overnight tonight. The river will fall below flood stage early
Sunday morning.
* Impact... at 21.0 feet... significant flooding of lowlands near the
river will occur, including significant portions of roads near the
river. Travel will be severely affected. Water is likely
approaching structures.

the Flood Warning continues for
the Rappahannock River at Fredericksburg.
* From early this evening until Sunday morning.
* At 10 am Friday the stage was 3.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by early this evening and crest
near 19.2 feet by mid-afternoon tomorrow. The river will fall below
flood stage by early Sunday morning.
* Impact... at 20.0 feet... water reaches the Municipal lot on Sophia
street. Naomi Road is flooded.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Rappahannock River above Fredericksburg.
* From overnight tonight until Saturday evening.
* At 9 am Friday the stage was 6.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by overnight tonight and crest
near 14.0 feet by late tomorrow morning . The river will fall below
flood stage by late tomorrow afternoon.
* Impact... at 13.0 feet... water covers the Riverside trail off River
Road upstream of Fredericksburg. Water also enters the building at
clore Brothers outfitters and begins to cover the parking lot at
the Motts run boat Landing.
* Flood history... this crest compares to a previous crest of 13.3 feet
on may 17 2014.

... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 1145 am EDT for
Stafford... Orange... southeastern Fauquier... southern Culpeper and
Spotsylvania counties and the city of Fredericksburg...

At 605 am EDT, Doppler radar indicated an area of very heavy
rainfall across the area. Virginia Department of Transportation
reported that high water was blocking constitution Highway and
Village Road near Unionville.

Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Stafford, Fredericksburg, Orange, Aquia creek, Potomac creek,
Massaponax, Spotsylvania, Falmouth, Gordonsville, Passapatanzy,
Verdiersville, Locust Grove, Snell, Thornhill, Ramoth, Winston,
Partlow, Heflin, Cardova and Mitchells.
