... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 10 PM this evening to
9 am CDT Friday...

The National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for mixed precipitation, which is in effect from
10 PM this evening to 9 am CDT Friday.

* Timing... temperatures will drop enough for rain to begin
freezing on outdoor surfaces late this evening. The icing will
continue until mid-morning Friday.

* Ice accumulation... a layer of ice one-tenth to two-tenths of an
inch thick is expected on outdoor surfaces... especially along
and north of Highway 8 which runs from Rhinelander to Crandon to
Pembine. Less than 1/10 of an inch of ice is expected to the

* Impacts... the ice will result in difficult travel conditions on
untreated roads... including during the morning commute on

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain and
some sleet will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
