northeastern Kenosha County in southeastern Wisconsin...

* until 345 PM CDT

* at 329 PM CDT... a severe thunderstorm was located near Sturtevant...
moving east at 15 mph.

Hazard... quarter size hail.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... damage to vehicles is expected.

Kenosha... Racine... Mount Pleasant... Pleasant Prairie... Sturtevant...
Union Grove... Wind Point... Elmwood Park and North Bay.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

building.

office in Milwaukee/Sullivan.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm... and may lead to

... Heat advisory remains in effect until 7 PM CDT this evening...

A heat advisory remains in effect until 7 PM CDT this evening.

* Timing... through this evening.

* Temperature... highs around 90 this afternoon with heat index
values reaching 100 to 104. This will make 4 consecutive days
with heat index values over 95.

* Impacts... a heightened risk of heat related illness is
possible... especially for those working outdoors or those
without air conditioning. People on certain medications will
be more susceptible to the heat... and should take extra
precautions to remain cool.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity
will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are
possible. Drink plenty of fluids... stay in an air-conditioned
room... stay out of the sun... and check up on relatives and
neighbors.

Take extra precautions... if you work or spend time outside. When
possible... reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water.
