I keep hearing (primarily from the left) that 99% of scientists believe that AGW is real. To those who would now begin throwing remarks about "crazy people on the right, am am not one. I am an Independent) What about the 30,000 or so scientists that signed the petition against the theory that we are causing warming (that has not shwon itself in a decade or so)? I believe the number quoted by our fearless leader's science Czar for scientists in favor of the theory was 2000 or so. I also find it interesting, and incredibly convenient that the catch phrase went from "Global Warming" a couple of years ago, to "Climate Change". Climate change... really? As if we can do anything to get the climate into some "static" state where everything stays the same forever... Neat idea. Since in the greater sense we are recovering from an ice-age, shouldn't the temp be rising? Remember that a weather climate disaster for one place will likely be a blessing for others. Some areas will heat, others will cool. If the grain belt dries up in it's current location (as mentioned above in an earlier post), odds are good that other areas will become favorable (Greenland will love it. To attempt to behave as if these scientists and others did NOT attempt to defraud us all, is akin to hiding your head in the sand. To pretend that money had nothing to do with many of these crooks pushing this theory as fact, is the same.
