Great morning in commence once again, temp a mild 16C, calm, bright sun, expect a high in the high 20's, no moisture in the forecast for the next several days at least. The afternoons have presented a draft from the south and cooling in the evening makes it great by time to turn in.

The kids getting lots of sun, Emily and her wards off to Whitehead for the day. Rob has been doing outside work, both very dark, Emily, being a redhead, loses her tan to peeling soon after it shows up.

Tourist traffic seems to be on the increase, most local operators have a busy summer lined up. This weather, lots of whales and puffins in areas not known previous makes great chances for the visitors to see something different almost anytime looking out over the water.

Dear Rob:

All started out well this week until Cody went to Quispamsis to buy new tires. How does that make a difference you ask: well, when he opened his trunk to put the new tires in he spys his new long board so decided to take it for a whip around the lot. He hit a pot-hole and down he went. Hand swelled all up.

Husband took him to the doctor yesterday and five hours later he comes home with a cast on - up to his elbow. He cracked the major bone in his thumb and if it is not completely immobilized he will lose the use???

So, Monday he has to see the specialist and he is in a cast for 3-4 weeks.

His boss was livid and as I said to him he was damn lucky he didn't get fired. They took in more work because they had Cody hired - now - here we are. I am glad his boss gave him shit because my ranting and raving didn't mean anything to him. I am still so mad at his dumbness I can hardly speak.

This ought to be an interesting start to a long summer.

Speaking of which: very hot today - 27 - but a slight breeze if you stay in the shade.

Over and out. BLARG!!!

Anyway - I should have stayed in Grand Manan.

Morning CHUNKS, the, certainly what passes for us, hot weather continues, no change insight. Still quite a difference between here an inland. Indeed from the office to our place on Ingalls Head is a signifigant change. Last evening nearly 8F between here and the office. Gotta love it, especailly when doing my 'Yes Dear' chores around the garden.

Gerald has had stones problems for as long as I have known him, certainly at nearly 90 years of age much more difficult to contend with.

Lots of whales off the Whistle, the fellow running the tours on the back of the island sees lots of puffins, not so common on this end of the island. He is operating a new tour, using one of the boats that run the Reversing Falls, the venture seems to be working for him. With this weather a great opportunity to get started for sure.

Emily getting excited and apprehensive about her change in lifestyle. The prospect of Residence dosen't appeal to her, even a little bit at this point and time. Will have to wait and see, she will get a bit of start when she attends a course near the end of August for a week, an intense orientation to Engineering and university life. Will have a better idea after that is over.

Have a good one.
