Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 79 and it feels like 80. Heat Advisory in effect for North MS until 8pm Wednesday night. Heat index readings of 105 to 109 are likely. Highs will continue to range between 91and 100 with lows between 71 and 74. There is a 40% chance of scattered thunderstorms today and isolated storms will be possible each day. Few storms could be strong to severe each day with large hail and damaging winds. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 78 and it feels like 78. Now, for your tropical update. In the Atlantic, a tropical wave associated with a surface low pressure system is located about 1100 miles West-Southwest of the Cape Verde Islands. This disturbance is showing signs of organization and environmental conditions are conducive for some gradual development to occur over the next few days. The National Hurricane Center is giving this system a low chance, 20%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours as it moves Westward at 15mph. In the Eastern Pacific, all is quiet with no development expected over the next couple of days.

Hope yall are having a great Tuesday and I'll have another post tomorrow morning.
