Won't be taking my pants for their usual walk on the golf course today--raining in these parts. The temperature at 10:30 a.m. is 18C (64F) with an easterly breeze. The old lumberjack says that you know when you are getting old when everything either dries up or leaks.

Ugly Truck Day--Wednesday, July 20, 2011
By: YohoLake, 1:09 PM GMT on July 20, 2011
We saw lots of "Ugly Trucks" since last Thursday, as we covered a lot of kilometres (miles) during our trip to visit friends in Ontario. We arrived home late last evening after lots of golf, excellent meals and most enjoyable visits. Lots to be done at the lake where we are expecting a hot day into the 30's C. The temperature at 10:10 a.m. is 18.5C (65F), so better get at it while the temperature is still reasonable.
Fools Paradise Day--Wsednesday, July 13, 2011
By: YohoLake, 10:42 PM GMT on July 13, 2011
"Fools Paradise" describes my day on the golf course. The weather was great and so was the company, so shouldn't complain too much. The weather was great on the course and back home at the lake. The temperature at 7:40 p.m. is 21C (71F) with an easterly breeze.

A very nice day on the golf course, although quite warm and humid. The temperature back at the lake at 3:15 p.m. is 29C (84F) with a nice westerly breeze. Strawberry Sundae Day--Thursday, July 7, 2011

That's something the grandkids want to do this week. They want a scarecrow to keep the birds out of their raspberry patch. Some high clouds and sun today at the lake. Country Music Day--Monday, July 4, 2011
By: YohoLake, 5:24 PM GMT on July 04, 2011
Happy Independence Day to our American bloggers. Hard rain this morning (and of course my golfing buddies went anyway and since I didn't want to be the wimp, so did I). Got wet on the golf course, but rain stopped after five holes, so not too bad a morning. The temperature back home at the lake at 2:20 p.m. is 22C (72F) with a westerly breeze under overcast skies.
Stay Out of the Sun Day--Sunday, July 3, 2011
By: YohoLake, 1:29 PM GMT on July 03, 2011

UFO Day--Saturday, July 2, 2011
By: YohoLake, 2:05 PM GMT on July 02, 2011
If we need a clear sky to see UFO's today, it won't happen. It's overcast at the lake at the moment, but maybe some sun this afternoon. The temperature at 11:00 a.m. is 23.5C (75F) with calm winds. The old lumberjack told me that he asked God for a bike, but knowing God doesn't work that we, he stole a bike and asked God for forgiveness.
Canada Day--Thursday, July 1, 2011
By: YohoLake, 1:12 PM GMT on July 01, 2011
Happy Canada Day to all the Canadian bloggers--enjoy the celebration in your part of the country. Overcast in these parts this morning, but supposed to clear somewhat this afternoon. I sure hope so as we are hosting some of the lake neighbours to celebrate Canada's 144th birthday. The temperature at 10:10 a.m. is 19C (66.5F) with a northwesterly breeze.
