I live near Tomball, Texas (30 miles NW of Houston), and will write about whatever comes to mind. You've been warned.

So Friday, December 4th was a big day.
For most of the Houston area, it was the earliest snow ever on record. Most of the metro area received anywhere from a trace to 2 inches. The Woodlands area received about half an inch, but for the most part, no accumulations (except on some rooftops). Areas further south on the US 59 corridor received more, with Sugar Land, Bellaire, and Richmond getting 1-2 inches.
On a more personal (and significant front)... I am no longer a bachelor. I decided a while back that I had found the woman that I wanted to live the rest of my life with. Friday night, at her place, with snow on the ground and a fire in the fireplace, I asked her to marry me. She said yes, and then proceeded to jump up and down half a dozen times in joy. I still am not able to wipe the happy grin off my face, and neither is she. I am working on getting some good pics of the ring and us together, and I can send them to people individually if they want to take a look.
Now.. I'm going to get off this blog, and spend some time with my new fiancee.
