06:50, 60F, fog in pastures, calm. waning gibbous moon over cabbage palms to SSW. roosters up. hasn't been much song bird activity lately. must be settled down and tending young'uns.. chilly out. feels good. yellow dogs at back door.
11:00, high tide at CK. upper 70's, variable breeze. worked on 600 ft. seine which was soaking wet. needs lead-line work but not until I get it dried out.
14:00, high tide at sand-spit. slight chop. warm.
16:10, high tide at #4 bridge. heading for fowlers bluff to the treasure camp for an early dinner.
pleasant on the suwannee. warm but fans kept it comfortable. slight breeze.
17:20, headed to hay guy. bought 10 bales. he's almost out. back at farm, upper 70's, variable breeze, unloaded hay. got 4 eggs. sheep ate 1/3rd of a bale of the new (dry but still green) hay.
21:20, 75F. occasional gust from the north. mostly cloudy - hazy. brighter stars appear and disappear. clouds moving from the ESE. mars appeared, and venus, veiled, and the big dipper briefly showed me the north star.
hoping for the rain that was out in the gulf this afternoon..

no. I do not shear my sheep. a fellow from no. car. has a circuit through the south and has been shearing my sheep since the late 80's. he's due here in a few weeks. and I don't use the wool, nor can I sell it. no one is interested. I have three 80 lb. bags of wool in the barn. sometimes someone wants a fleece and I give it to them. in the winter, I stuff mesh bags with wool for the dogs to sleep on. don't really have time to use the wool. wish I did!
