... Flood Watch remains in effect from 7 am EST Saturday through
Sunday evening...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of east central Maine, eastern Maine, interior
downeast Maine, and north central Maine, including the
following areas, in east central Maine, central Penobscot. In
eastern Maine, northern Washington. In interior downeast
Maine, central Washington, interior Hancock, and southern
Penobscot. In north central Maine, central Piscataquis and
southern Piscataquis.

* From 7 am EST Saturday through Sunday evening

* an extended period of above freezing temperatures is expected
this weekend. The combination of the above freezing
temperatures, along with a period of rainfall later Saturday
into Saturday night, has the potential to result in ice
movement and possible ice jams on areas waterways across
central areas and portions of interior downeast.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.

The National Weather Service in Caribou has issued a dense fog
advisory... which is in effect until 7 am EST Saturday.

* Visibilities... one quarter mile or less at tines.

* Timing... late tonight into early Saturday morning.

* Impacts... visibilities will drop to near zero at times,
resulting in very hazardous driving conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your low beam headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead
of you.
