... Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 11 PM EST this
evening...

* locations... low lying coastal communities of coastal
Connecticut.

* Tidal departures... 3 to 4 ft above astronomical tides this
evening. 2 1/2 to 3 ft above astronomical tides Tuesday
morning.

* Timing... minor coastal flooding around the times of astronomical
high tide this evening. Localized minor coastal flooding with
the Tuesday morning high tide cycle.

* Coastal flood impacts... minor flooding of the most vulnerable
Waterfront and shoreline roads and/or adjacent properties due
to height of storm tide or wave splashover. Majority of roads
remain passable with only isolated closures.

* Shoreline impacts... elevated water levels in combination with
rough surf may cause minor beach erosion and splashover along
the shoreline this evening.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.

The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a Wind
Advisory... which is in effect until 6 am EST Tuesday. The High
Wind Warning has been cancelled.

* Winds... northeast 25 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.

* Timing... the strongest winds are expected this evening to just
after midnight.

* Impacts... strong winds may blow down limbs... trees... and power
lines. Scattered power outages are expected. Limited
visibilities will make travel very difficult.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph...
or gusts of 46 to 57 mph... are expected or occurring. Winds this
strong can make driving difficult... especially for high profile
vehicles. Use extra caution.

... Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 am EST Tuesday...

* winds and seas... northeast winds 25 to 30 kt with gusts up to
50 kt. Seas 4 to 7 feet.

63 kt are expected or occurring. Recreational boaters should
remain in port... or take shelter until winds and waves subside.
Commercial vessels should prepare for very strong winds and
