... Pockets of freezing rain early this morning...

An area of light rain mixed with snow is moving across the eastern
Catskills into the Schoharie valley and helderbergs early this
morning. This light precipitation will expand northward into the
western and central Mohawk Valley between 230 am and 500 am.
Temperatures are hovering below freezing in some locations, and
some spotty or pockets of freezing rain is possible.

Untreated surfaces will become slippery on roads and sidewalks.
Motorists out early this morning should drive with caution and be
prepared for some slick surfaces.
