Areal Flood Watch, Flood Advisory

... Flood Watch now in effect through Sunday evening...

The Flood Watch is now in effect for

* portions of east central Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West
Virginia, including the following areas, in east central Ohio,
Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison,
Jefferson, Monroe, Muskingum, Noble, and Tuscarawas. In
Pennsylvania, Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette,
Fayette ridges, Greene, Indiana, Jefferson, Washington,
Westmoreland, and Westmoreland ridges. In West Virginia,
Brooke, Hancock, Marshall, Ohio, and Wetzel.

* Through Sunday evening

* rainfall of 1 to 1.5 inches is possible today, with additional
rainfall possible through the weekend.

* Ground is very saturated and water levels in local streams
remain high.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.

The flood advisory is extended for
the Ohio River at Pittsburgh.
* Until Tuesday morning.
* At 08pm Wednesday the stage was 20.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise to near 24.7 feet early Saturday
morning.
* Impact... at 24.5 feet, the Fountain in Point State Park is flooded.
At 23 feet clemente park is flooded.
At 22.7 feet, water reaches the top of rail of the b & o
Railroad on the north side of Pittsburgh.
At 22.0 feet, the tenth street bypass floods.
At 20.0 feet, water is up to one foot deep in the lower
areas of the North Shore riverwalk.
At 19.5 feet the Mon parking wharf is completely flooded.
