Issued: 4:15 AM EST Dec. 11, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from noon today to
noon EST Monday...

* locations... Luzerne... Lackawanna... Pike... Wyoming... and
southern Wayne counties in northeast Pennsylvania.

* Hazard types... snow and possible light glaze of ice.

* Accumulations... 2 to 3 inches of snow in valleys and 3 to 5
inches of snow at higher elevations... along with up to a tenth
of an inch of ice.

* Timing... light snow will develop this afternoon and then pick up
into tonight when most of the accumulation will occur. Snow will
mix with rain and freezing rain late tonight into early Monday
morning. Precipitation will diminish quickly Monday morning.

* Impacts... snow covered roads and possible ice causing travel
difficulties.

* Winds... south 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

* Temperatures... mid to upper 20s this afternoon, warming into
the lower to mid 30s by Monday morning.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of mostly snow...
