Issued: 6:31 PM EDT Apr. 26, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Coastal flood advisory now in effect until 11 PM EDT this
evening...

* locations... low-lying coastal areas of southeast South
Carolina... including downtown Charleston.

* Tide levels... peaking between 7.4 and 7.7 feet mean lower low
water.

* Timing... high tide will occur around 900 PM at Charleston and
around 1000 PM at Beaufort. Moderate saltwater flooding will be
possible up to an hour before and after high tide... with minor
flooding up to 2 hours before and after high tide.

* Coastal flood impacts... inundation of saltwater in and near low
lying coastal areas will result in some Road closures and
flooding of properties. Numerous roads in downtown Charleston
will be closed.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be prepared for the likelihood of impassable roads and minor
flooding of properties. If travel is necessary... do not attempt to
drive through water of unknown depth.
