* at 649 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the
warned area. 1 to 2 inches of rain have already fallen. Flash
flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lexington, Georgetown, Nicholasville, Winchester, Paris, Cynthiana,
Carlisle, Cardinal Hill, Cadentown and Fayette mall.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 are possible in the warned

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of east central Kentucky, north central Kentucky,
northwest Kentucky, and south central Kentucky, including the
following areas, in east central Kentucky, Anderson, Bourbon,
Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Franklin, Garrard, Harrison, Jessamine,
Madison, Mercer, Nicholas, Scott, and Woodford. In north
central Kentucky, Breckinridge, Bullitt, Hardin, Henry,
Jefferson, LaRue, Meade, Nelson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer,
Trimble, and Washington. In northwest Kentucky, Hancock and
Ohio. In south central Kentucky, Adair, Allen, Barren, Butler,
Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Edmonson, Grayson, green, Hart,
Lincoln, Logan, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Simpson,
Taylor, and Warren.

* Through Saturday morning

* a cold front coming in from the northwest will join forces
with the remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy to produce
widespread rain, possibly heavy.

* The heaviest rainfall is expected during the evening hours and
may cause trouble with rush hour traffic.

* at 626 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to one inch of rain has
already fallen in spots.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Winchester, Paris, Cynthiana, Carlisle, Millersburg, North
Middletown, Goffs Corner, Blacks Crossroads, Renick and Lyndale.

Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected over the area. This
additional rain will result in minor flooding.

northeastern Jessamine County in central Kentucky...
Fayette County in central Kentucky...

* until 830 PM EDT

* at 531 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain moving over the
Lexington Metro area. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor
flooding in the advisory area. A little over a half inch of rain
has fallen since midnight and more rain will fall across the area
this evening.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lexington, Meadowthorpe, Dunbar High School, Thoroughbred Acres,
Veterans Park, Cardinal Hill, Cadentown, Bryan Station, Northland
and Highlands.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

... A line of showers will affect Clark... southeastern Jessamine...
northern Madison and southeastern Fayette counties...

At 749 PM EDT, radar indicated showers were located along a line
extending from 6 miles west of Sideview to 8 miles northwest of
Richmond. Movement was east at 45 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with these showers.

Locations impacted include...
Richmond, Winchester, Harris Ferry, Goffs Corner, Renick, Lyndale,
Valley View, Jackson Ferry, Locust Grove and Hunt.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these showers, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for central
Kentucky.
