Wind Advisory
Issued: 3:35 AM EST Nov. 18, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Wind Advisory remains in effect from 10 am this morning to
4 am EST Sunday...

* timing... gusty winds are expected from late in the morning
into the overnight hours.

* Winds... peak winds of 40 to 45 mph are possible during the late
morning and into the early morning hours of Sunday. Wind gusts
may reach 50 mph on ridges above 2500 feet elevation.

* Impacts... travelers may find travel difficult on east to west
highways during the day and on north to south highways this
evening. In addition, gusts of 40 to 50 mph can cause some tree
limbs or weakly rooted trees in hilly terrain to fall,
potentially resulting in isolated power outages. Winds of this
magnitude will cause rough chop on area lakes, as well.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that wind gusts of 40 mph or higher are
expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
