Areal Flood Watch
Issued: 1:25 PM CST Feb. 24, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Flood Watch remains in effect through Sunday morning...

The Flood Watch continues for

* all of southern Indiana and central Kentucky

* through Sunday morning

* 1 to 2 inches of rainfall. Locally higher amounts likely.

* This rainfall on already saturated soils will lead to excessive
runoff which will cause already swollen rivers to rise more.
There will be further rises on most rivers, and flooding for
low-lying, urban, and small stream areas. Places that don't
typically flood may flood.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

Monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible warnings. Those
living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take
action should flooding develop or worsen.
