The Flood Warning continues for
the White River at Hazleton.
* From Thursday afternoon until further notice.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is forecast to have a maximum value of 23.7
feet Thursday early afternoon.
* At 24.0 feet... a flood of this height causes great agricultural
damage from June through August. Some river cabin residents
evacuate. Most local roads flood. Several oil fields are
inaccessible.

The Flood Warning continues for
the White River at Petersburg.
* From late tonight until further notice.
* At 9:30 PM Wednesday the stage was 15.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by after midnight tomorrow and
continue to rise to near 23.4 feet by Thursday morning.
* At 23.5 feet... water from the great June 2008 flood recedes from sr
257 south of Washington. The river stage at Shoals was less than
10 feet and less than 14 feet previous day. The Lost River was
low... except for backwater from the East Fork White... during this
entire flood event.

The Flood Warning continues for
the White River at Edwardsport.
* From Thursday morning to Saturday March 03.
* At 7:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 10.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by tomorrow late morning and
continue to rise to near 20.9 feet by Monday evening. The river
will fall below flood stage by Saturday morning.
* At 20.0 feet... water is at critical levels for makeshift levees.
Most of bottomlands flood. Old Vincennes Road and State Road 358
between Plainville and Edwardsport are impassable by several feet.
High water surrounds river Cabins. This type of flood occurs on
average about once a year.

the White River at Newberry.
* From Thursday evening to Friday March 02.
* At 9:30 PM Wednesday the stage was 10.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by tomorrow evening and continue
to rise to near 17.9 feet by Monday early afternoon. The river
will fall below flood stage by Thursday evening.
* At 18.0 feet... County Road 550 S in Greene County begins to flood.
County Road 600 W just north of the river flooded by possibly more
than a foot of water for a short distance in Mary Long Cutoff area.

the White River at Elliston.
* From Thursday afternoon to Friday March 02.
* At 8:00 am Wednesday the stage was 12.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by tomorrow afternoon and
continue to rise to near 24.3 feet by Monday early afternoon. The
river will fall below flood stage by late Friday morning.
* At 24.5 feet... north end of runway of Shawnee airfield begins to
flood. High water surrounds river Cabins. Extensive agricultural
flooding is in progress.

the Wabash River at Mount Carmel.
* From Friday afternoon until further notice.
* At 8:45 PM Wednesday the stage was 12.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Friday early afternoon and
continue to rise to near 27.5 feet by Saturday evening. Additional
rises are possible thereafter.
* At 27.5 feet... in the city of Mt. Carmel, all local roads flooded
east of the levee except for south division.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Wabash River at Vincennes.
* From Friday evening until further notice.
* At 9:45 PM Wednesday the stage was 10.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Friday evening and continue to
rise to near 24.4 feet by Friday early afternoon.
* At 24.5 feet... on the north side of Vincennes near old Terre Haute
Road, Sawmill extensively floods including the Concrete structures.
Flood waters surround about 5 to 10 houses just west of Road near
the executive inn. Kelso creek has extensive backwater. Wabash
River is within a few inches of closing oliphant drive at Kelso
creek. A heavy local rain would cause severe flooding to shopping
center near Kelso creek. Fort Knox Road floods at snapp creek.
Park located on Fort Knox Road also floods.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Wabash River at Riverton.
* Until further notice.
* At 10:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 15.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 24.4 feet by
Wednesday evening then begin falling.
* At 24.0 feet... extensive flooding is in progress. Most levees are
at critical levels. Water level near the top of a few levees.
High water begins to affect residences in eastern Palestine,
Illinois and those along East River Road just southeast of
Palestine. Some evacuations are necessary. Rodeo area in Leaverton
Park begins to flood. Water near or over East River Road south of
Palestine.

the Wabash River at Hutsonville legacy Power Plant site.
* Until further notice.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is forecast to have a maximum value of 25.0
feet Wednesday morning.
* At 25.0 feet... extensive flooding is in progress in York and
Hutsonville, Illinois. Flood waters surround homes and are in a
local park. Local River Road south of Hutsonville to Palestine
almost floods.
