Issued: 12:18 PM EST Feb. 20, 2018 – National Weather Service

... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 700 am EST Thursday for
Newaygo... Gratiot... Isabella... Clare... Osceola... Muskegon... Oceana...
Mecosta and Montcalm counties...

At 1210 PM EST, rapid rises were reported along the Muskegon river
in Mecosta County south of Big Rapids, possibly due to an ice jam
accompanying the heavy rain. At least one vehicle was partially
submerged and at least one resident reported flooding in their home.

A temporary break in the rain will be possible early this afternoon.
However steady rain is expected to return later this afternoon and
last through evening. This will continue the flooding threat today
and overnight.

Other locations that will experience flooding include...
Muskegon, Mount Pleasant, Alma, Greenville, Clare, Ithaca, Hart,
Newaygo, Evart, Stanton, White Cloud, Shelby, Muskegon Heights, St.
Louis, Fremont, Roosevelt Park, North Muskegon, Whitehall and Reed
City.
