... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 9 PM this
evening to noon CST Tuesday...

* what... freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations between
two tenths to a quarter of an inch are expected through Tuesday
morning. There is still some uncertainty regarding the track of
the storm tonight and final ice amounts may be slightly higher
or lower across the area. Be prepared for significant impacts to
travel across the region Tuesday.

* Where... much of central Iowa along and east of a line from
Allison through Ames to Atlantic.

* When... from 9 PM this evening to noon CST Tuesday.

* Additional details... the ice will result in difficult to
dangerous travel conditions, including the morning commute
Tuesday. In addition, gusty north winds developing Tuesday
afternoon may cause ice coated trees and powerlines to break
and possibly fall, leading to the potential for power outages.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads.
