Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 4:30 PM CST Jan. 16, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect until midnight CST tonight...

The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a dense
fog advisory... which is in effect until midnight CST tonight.

* Visibilities... frequently below 1/4 mile... near zero at times.
Periods of improving conditions during showers and isolated
thunderstorms.

* Timing... through at least midnight.

* Impacts... driving will be hazardous when visibility falls
rapidly. Please allow extra time for travel and drive with
caution.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use
your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
