Watches & Warnings

Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 2:28 AM CST Feb. 18, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 10 am CST this morning...

The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a dense
fog advisory, which is in effect until 10 am CST this morning.

* Visibilities... less than one half mile with localized areas near
zero.

* Timing... through 10 am.

* Impacts... visibilities may change suddenly over very short
distances. Slick roads are also possible due to below freezing
temperatures.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use
your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
