Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 4:05 AM CDT Apr. 27, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon CDT
today...

* timing... mixed wintry precipitation early today will change to
mainly snow after daybreak. The precipitation will continue into
the afternoon before diminishing.

* Ice/snow accumulations... a total snow accumulation of 2 to 4
inches is expected, mainly north and west of a line from
Tomahawk to Rhinelander to Crandon to Tipler. An inch or two of
snow is expected in areas to the south. Some minor icing is also
possible due to freezing rain.

* Main impact... roads will become slippery due to snow and ice.
The snow will continue into the afternoon, but pavement
temperatures will warm during the daylight hours and additional
snow accumulations this afternoon will be mainly on grassy
areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that snow, sleet, and freezing
rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving. The
latest Wisconsin Road conditions can be obtained by calling 511.
