The National Weather Service in Great Falls has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
Lewis And Clark County in west central Montana...

* until 1100 am MDT Friday.

* At 1031 am MDT, emergency management and river gauges reported
flooding continuing across the County.

Flood waters are receding slowly in the Augusta area and should
continue to do so.

Flood waters are receding slowly on the Sun River in Lewis And Clark
County and should continue to do so.

Minor flooding continues on the Ten Mile creek in Helena. Minor
flood stage is 4.5 feet.

Minor flooding is occurring on the Dearborn river near Craig. Minor
flood stage is 6.5 feet.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

At 1144 am MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12
miles south of Augusta, or 28 miles west of Cascade, moving northeast
at 15 mph.

Half inch hail and winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Bowmans corner.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
