The Flood Warning continues for
the Rock River near Joslin.
* Until further notice.
* At 2:45 PM Friday the stage was 16.2 feet... and rising.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Recent activity... there is a considerable amount of ice in The
Channel.
* Forecast... rise to 16.3 feet Saturday morning... then begin falling.
Ice action may result in additional river level fluctuations from
the expected forecast over the next several days.
* Impact... at 16.0 feet... water affects much of Barstow Road between
Barstow and Osborn. Water also affects homes in Osborn.

... Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice...

The Flood Warning continues for
the Rock River at Moline.
* Until further notice.
* At 2:30 PM Friday the stage was 12.7 feet... and steady.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Recent activity... the ice jam has broken up and the river is
flowing freely. There is a large amount of ice upstream in the
river.
* Forecast... rise to 13.3 feet Sunday morning... then begin falling.
Ice action may result in additional localized river level
fluctuations of a foot or more from the expected forecast over
the next several days.
* Impact... at 13.2 feet... water affects 60th street south of John
deere Road in Moline and 75th Ave from Green Valley Park 48th St.
Water is on canal Road in Big Island. Smith's island is affected
by flood waters.

... Dense fog advisory in effect from 6 PM this evening to 10 am
CST Saturday...

The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a dense
fog advisory... which is in effect from 6 PM this evening to 10 am
CST Saturday.

* Timing... through mid-morning Saturday. Areas near and east of
the Mississippi River may not see widespread dense fog until
after 8 PM. Overnight into Saturday morning the dense fog is
expected to lift and visibilities improve from south to north.

* Visibility... less than 1/4 mile at times.

* Impacts... driving will be hazardous due to severely reduced
visibility at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use
your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
