one tenth are expected.

* Where... portions of central, east central, south central and
southwest Missouri.

* When... until 10 am CST Wednesday.

* Additional details... the ice will result in difficult travel
conditions as Road temperatures drop below freezing later this
evening.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads.
Slow down and use caution while driving. The latest Road
conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by

Areal Flood Advisory, Areal Flood Watch
Issued: 8:02 PM CST Feb. 20, 2018 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* flood advisory for...
Christian County in southwestern Missouri...
Taney County in southwestern Missouri...
Stone County in southwestern Missouri...

* until 100 am CST

* at 800 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated moderate rain that will
cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches
of rain has already fallen.

* Creeks, streams, and low water crossings will be especially
susceptible to the dangers of flooding. Law enforcement reported
that the Coon Creek low water crossing in Hollister is underwater
and the Road is impassable.

Additional rainfall of up to an inch is expected over the area. This
additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

... Flood Watch remains in effect through late tonight...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of southeast Kansas and Missouri, including the
following areas, in southeast Kansas, Cherokee and Crawford.
In Missouri, Barry, Barton, Benton, Camden, Cedar, Christian,
Dade, Dallas, Douglas, Greene, Hickory, Howell, Jasper,
Laclede, Lawrence, McDonald, Morgan, Newton, Oregon, Ozark,
Polk, Shannon, St. Clair, stone, Taney, Texas, Webster, and
Wright.

* Through late tonight

* several rounds of rain through tonight may lead to some minor
localized flooding.

* Areas that receive multiple rounds of heavy rain will see an
increased risk for flooding. Smaller creeks and streams and
low water crossings would be the most likely areas to be
affected. Significant rises could occur on many streams and
rivers if they do not flood.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
