Ice Storm Warning
Issued: 9:57 AM CST Feb. 20, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Ice Storm Warning remains in effect until 3 PM CST this
afternoon...

* what... significant icing. Additional ice accumulations of one
tenth to one quarter of an inch are expected, primarily on
elevated surfaces.

* Where... portions of east central Kansas.

* When... until 3 PM CST this afternoon.

* Additional details... north winds are expected to increase into
the 10 to 20 mph range. These winds could cause tree limbs with
ice to break. Bridges and overpasses will become icy, resulting
in dangerous travel conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

An Ice Storm Warning means significant amounts of ice
accumulation will make travel dangerous or impossible. Travel is
strongly discouraged. If you must travel, keep an extra
flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an
emergency. Snapped power lines and falling tree branches are also
possible. The latest Road conditions for the state you are
calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
