The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
south central Lafayette County in southwestern Arkansas...
northwestern Webster Parish in northwestern Louisiana...
northwestern Caddo Parish in northwestern Louisiana...
northern Bossier Parish in northwestern Louisiana...

* until 745 PM CST

* at 648 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Belcher, or 21 miles northwest of Bossier City,
moving northeast at 15 mph.

Hazard... tornado and quarter size hail.

Source... radar indicated rotation.

Impact... flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
Hosston and Gilliam around 700 PM CST.
Plain Dealing around 730 PM CST.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Dixie,
Alden Bridge, Rocky Mount, Cavett and Bolinger.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Take cover now! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
Mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter

... Lake Wind Advisory in effect from 9 am to 9 PM CST Sunday...

The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a lake Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from 9 am to 9 PM CST Sunday.

* Event... as a deep low pressure system moves east of the
area... strong gusty west to northwest winds of 15 to 25
mph... with gusts over 35 mph... will occur areawide.

* Timing... winds will increase by mid morning... and continue
through the afternoon and early evening hours.

* Impact... the gusty winds will produce a rough chop on open
waters and make for a difficult cross wind on the highways...
especially along Interstate 30.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
