* Flood Advisory for minor flooding in poor drainage areas for...
Harris County in southeastern Texas...
southwestern Liberty County in southeastern Texas...
northwestern Chambers County in southeastern Texas...
northeastern Fort Bend County in southeastern Texas...

* until 145 am CST.

* At 1140 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding. Overflowing poor
drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area.
1 to 1.5 inches inches of rain have fallen on top heavy rains
earlier this evening. This will likely runoff causing minor street
flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
northwestern Pasadena, northeastern Sugar Land, northern Baytown,
northern Missouri City, Deer Park, Stafford, Bellaire, West
University Place, Galena Park, Jacinto City, southwestern Liberty,
Dayton, Hunters Creek Village, Bunker Hill Village, Piney Point
Village, Astrodome area, Spring Valley, Barrett, greater Fifth Ward

* until 215 am CST.

* At 1111 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Humble, Jersey Village, Aldine, Spring, greater greenspoint,
Kingwood, northern Addicks park ten, Roman Forest, Woodbranch, Plum
Grove, Cypress, Bush Intercontinental Airport, splashtown,
WillowBrook, Atascocita, Lake Houston, Hidden Valley, greater
Inwood, carverdale and northwestern acres home.

* winds... increasing Saturday night into Sunday... west to
northwest 25 to 35 knots with gusts up to 45 knots.

* Seas... increasing late Saturday night into Sunday... 5 to 7 feet
nearshore and 9 to 12 feet offshore with occasional heights up
to 15 feet offshore.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A gale watch is issued when the risk of gale force winds of 34 to
47 knots has significantly increased... but the specific timing
and/or location is still uncertain. It is intended to provide
additional lead time for mariners who may wish to consider
altering their plans.
