High Wind Warning
Issued: 2:48 AM MST Feb. 20, 2017 – National Weather Service

... High Wind Warning remains in effect until 5 PM MST this
afternoon...

* timing... there will probably be a lull in high winds this
morning, before returning during the afternoon. These winds
could also continue through the overnight hours Monday night.

* Winds... west winds 35 to 45 mph gusting to 60 mph will be
possible at times, but a significant lull in the winds are
expected this morning. These winds are expected to return later
this afternoon, with impacts from north of Clark to Meeteetse.

* Impacts... strong cross winds will produce an extreme blow over
threat for trucks pulling light weight and high profile
trailers on Highway 120 and chief Joseph Highway.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts
of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.
