... Winter Storm Warning in effect from 6 am Sunday to midnight
MST Sunday night...

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Winter
Storm Warning for heavy snow and blowing snow... which is in
effect from 6 am Sunday to midnight MST Sunday night. The Winter
Storm Watch is no longer in effect.

* Impacts... heavy snow will produce difficult driving conditions.
Areas of blowing snow may significantly reduce visibilities on
mountain passes and roadways.

* Timing... snow will begin Sunday morning and continue through the
evening. The heaviest snow is expected to occur in the
afternoon. Gusty winds and areas of blowing snow will develop
during the afternoon and evening.

* Snow accumulations... 3 to 6 inches below 7000 ft and 6 to 10
inches above 7000 ft. Areas in The Sawtooth range could see
accumulations around one foot.

* Locations... Stanley... Hailey... Ketchum... Galena Summit...

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow are
expected or occurring. Strong winds and reduced visibility in
blowing snow are also possible. This will make travel very
hazardous or impossible. If you must travel, keep an extra
flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an
emergency.
