Issued: 2:43 AM PST Dec. 9, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 4 am PST Sunday
above 6500 feet...

* snow accumulations... 5 to 10 inches in elevations from 6500 feet
to 7500 feet. 2 to 3 feet above 7500 feet.

* Timing... snow intensity and coverage will increase early
Friday morning. The heaviest snow is expected to occur
during the day on Saturday before tapering off late Saturday
night.

* Winds... southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph Friday
night.

* Impacts... snow could create difficult travel conditions
Friday morning through late Saturday. This includes US Route
93 and State Route 225. Due to the strong elevation
dependence of this storm, motorists should be alert to
rapidly changing Road conditions if traveling across higher
terrain or mountain passes.
