... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 3 am PST
Tuesday...

* what... snow... 2 to 4 inches expected. Snow levels will range
between 1500 and 2500 feet through tonight. Areas of northwest
to north winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph are expected,
with isolated higher gusts. Dangerous wind chill readings will
be between 10 degrees and -10 degrees in higher elevations late
tonight and Monday.

* Where... Ventura County mountains and Los Angeles County
mountains excluding the Santa Monica range counties.

* When... through 3 am PST Tuesday.

* Additional details... be prepared for reduced visibilities at
times. The strongest winds will be through the I-5 corridor.
The highest snowfall amounts will occur on the north facing
slopes. There is the potential for 1 to 2 inches of snow on
Interstate 5 near the Grapevine. Delays or closures on
Interstate 5 are possible Monday into Monday night due to
accumulating snow, icy Road conditions, and strong winds.
Other low elevation roadways will be at risk for snow showers
and icy Road conditions as well. These include highways 2, 14,
33, and 39.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
