... Wind Chill Advisory in effect until 4 PM akst this afternoon...

The National Weather Service in Anchorage has issued a Wind Chill
Advisory... which is in effect until 4 PM akst this afternoon.

* Location... coldest over inland areas of the Kuskokwim Delta.

* Wind... northwest 15 to 20 mph.

* Wind chill values... 30 below to 45 below.

* Timing... winds will gradually decrease below 15 mph after 4
PM... but temperatures will remain very cold overnight into
Saturday.

* Impacts... increased risk of hypothermia and frostbite.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frostbite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
