For Tropical Depression Eight.

The next information statement will be issued by 3:00 a.M. ADT. 
Tropical Depression Eight may become a named tropical storm later 
tonight. However, this is looking less likely. Enhanced rainfall 
over southeastern Newfoundland is no longer expected. 1. Summary of 
basic information at 9:00 p.M. ADT. Location: 36.8 north 71.0 west. 
About 440 kilometres east-northeast of Cape Hatteras, NC. Maximum 
sustained winds: 45 kilometres per hour. Present movement: northeast 
at 26 kilometres per hour. Minimum central pressure: 1010 millibars. 
2. Public weather impacts and warnings summary. Tropical Depression 
Eight may still become a named tropical storm later tonight. No 
public weather impacts are not expected. A. Wind. Wind from this 
system is not expected to reach land areas. B. Rainfall. Rainfall 
from Tropical Depression Eight is no longer expected. C. 
Surge/waves. No significant wave or storm surge impacts along 
coastal areas of Newfoundland. 3. Marine weather impacts and 
warnings summary. Gales over the southern halves of the southwestern 
Grand Banks and southeastern Grand Banks are possible. Wave heights 
should not exceed 3 to 5 metres over the southern Grand Banks.
