The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a red
flag warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in
effect from 11 am to 8 PM MDT Sunday. The Fire Weather Watch is
no longer in effect.

* Affected area... in Colorado, fire weather zone 207 southwest
Colorado lower forecast area and fire weather zone 295
southwest Colorado upper east forecast area.

* Winds... west 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Relative humidity... 7 to 12 percent.

* Impacts... rapid rates of fire growth and spread are possible
under these conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
